INSPIRATION:
This work was inspired in part by the American street photographer Saul Leiter as well as less known street photographers who incorporate motion into their photographs.

In capturing this image, I challenged myself as a photographer to create a colourful, warm image while standing out in the street during a very cold, dark, rainy afternoon in Munich, Germany. The goal was to capture a moment in time that would otherwise have been forgotten. The artificial lighting of the shops on this pedestrian shopping street provided the vivid background colours needed to complement the umbrellas.
